Our Bed and Breakfast style Country Inn is in the heart of the community of Southampton Ontario, a 2-1/2 hour drive from Toronto. In 1999, Southampton became part of the amalgamated community of Saugeen Shores, which includes Port Elgin and Saugeen Township.
The sandy shores of Lake Huron are only a short stroll from the Southampton Inn’s front door. Leave your windows open at night and fall asleep to the waves’ soothing rhythm.
The Southampton Inn is close to everything! Downtown shopping and restaurants, the Southampton Art Gallery, the Bruce County Museum & Archives, Thorncrest Outfitters, tennis courts, the Saugeen RailTrail (great for biking, jogging or walking!), Fairy Lake bandshell concerts, the bank, Bingo and the Southampton Ontario Visitor’s Centre are all just a short ramble away. The Inn is also within walking distance of the town’s five churches--convenient if you are attending a wedding!
Several golf courses are within a half hour’s drive of Southampton Ontario and offer a course to meet every golfer’s skill level whether it’s just for fun or a challenging foursome.
Pack a snack or picnic lunch and saunter off to Pioneer Park, Jubilee Park, Fairy Lake with its nature trails and swans, the boardwalk along the beach or the harbourfront.
It’s easy living at The Southampton Inn...simply park the car upon arrival and explore the community on foot or by bicycle. Bike rentals are available at one of the local hardware stores.
